Pastor’s blog: Walking Through Advent…

As we walk through this Advent Season we’re spending time on just how God has come, does come, and will come to us human beings. Jesus came as a baby, God became human. This is His first coming. Now, He comes to us, primarily, through His Word and the Sacraments (Baptism and Communion). Did you know that God is the primary Actor in these sacred acts (Sacraments)? He comes to us to forgive us and give us new life. Finally, Jesus will come to judge the world. All people will stand before the Creator on the Judgment Day. Awe-filled and Comforting it is to ponder God’s coming to us. Blessed Advent journey to you and yours! (See Galatians 4:4-5, Colossians 2:9-13, and Romans 3:19.)
