Childcare Programs and Activities
Each classroom is dedicated to providing:
- A Christian environment which values respect, honesty, trust, kindness, compassion, and responsibility.
- An emotionally, spiritually, and physically supportive environment.
- Activities which enhance, stimulate, and challenge each child. We create Bible lessons, dramatic play situations, learning activities, science experiments, outdoor education, and art projects to advance their knowledge and skills.
- Additionally, students enrolled the childcare center may participate in our preschool program. Students walk across to the main church building to attend preschool classes, and then return to the childcare center for the remainder of the day.
- Older children who no longer nap may participate in additional activities in the afternoon. We work with families to determine the best afternoon schedule for your child.
Sonshine Learning Center Mission
SLC offers a Christ-focused, child-centered program, which honors each child as an independent decision maker with valid thoughts and feelings.
Through a variety of hands-on experiences, our staff strives to help the children build a confident and respectful understanding of themselves and the world around them. We help to develop their decision making and problem solving skills in a loving and encouraging environment.
