The words, "Let us run with endurance the race that is set before us." over a photo of a man running.

A Heart that Endures in Christ

Part 8 of the series: Create in Me a Clean Heart, O Lord

Based upon Hebrews 12:1

The words, "For the joy set before Him, He endured the cross scorning its shame and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God." over a photo of purple cloth draped on wood.

Jesus, One Who Endured

The word race is from the Greek agon, from which we get the word “agony.” . . . Jesus’ best work was His final work, and His strongest step was His last step. . . . Jesus is the classic example of one who endured. . . . The Bible says Jesus “held on” implying that Jesus could have “let go.” . . . Jesus time of testing was non-stop.  . . . Question: Was Jesus impacted by the devil? Jesus was tempted, He was tested.  —Pastor Ken

The words, "Well done good and faithful servant," over the water in a photo with a boat on the shore.

Just a Closer Walk with Thee

I am weak but Thou art strong

Jesus keep me from all wrong

I’ll be satisfied as long

As I walk, let me walk let me walk close to Thee.

Just a closer walk with Thee

Grant it, Jesus, is my plea

Daily walking close to Thee

Let it be, dear Lord, let it be

Thro’ this world of toil and snares

If I falter, Lord, who care?

Who with me my burden shares

None but Thee, dear Lord, none but Thee

When my feeble life is o’er

Time for me will be no more

Guide me gently safely o’er

To Thy kingdom shore to Thy shore
